As of midnight on August 29th, 2025. Man’s Best Friend is FINALLY out everywhere. And oh my god guys. Oh. My. God. Sabrina Carpenter you have done it again. This album just might be the opposite of Short n’ Sweet. Instead of catchy bright bullet proof Pop, Sabrina gives us flowy R&B, Disco, and even more of a country twang. I’m extremely impressed with this evolution. And all under a year too.
Man’s Best Friend is out now x how special to make something out of pure inspiration and zero pressure. I don’t think I’ve had greater memories making something before. I made the whole record with 3 of my best most brilliant friends Amy, Jack and John. And if i could turn back time and relive these memories i would. God damn we had so much fun!
and you can hear it! It’s a real party for heartbreak, a celebration of disappointment! It’s laughing at yourself and your poor choices as everything is falling apart, it’s wondering how loyalty and love always gets you back to third wheeling, spoken sarcastically like a true 25 year old !

After two days of mediation, here’s my ever changing ranking at the MOMENT:
When Did You Get Hot?- SABRINA WHAT THE FUCK. This song is like crack it’s like an ear-gasm I am OBSESSED. “Bet your light rod’s like bigger than Zeus’s” and that RIFF????? Have been stuck in my head since I heard it.
Manchild - Always a classic but sounds so unlike anything else on this album. It’s maybe objectively one of the best songs but I have no idea where I would put it in my ranking based off all this new information…it’s always hard for me to rank pre-leased singles.
Go Go Juice - After much deliberation I’ve decided to rank Go Go Juice above House Tour. Hard decision I know. But that bridge is just too fucking good to ignore….I can’t resist.
House Tour - The second I saw someone describe this song as Juno’s raunchier younger sister I KNEW it would be my Diva. AND WELL YES!!! I love when Big Brina gets crazy…her clever wordplay shines in this song like no other. PRAYING this is the next single.
Nobody’s Son - TOO FUCKING REAL SABRINA. Such a sad song but also such a bop? This is like Lie to Girls if I actually liked it…
My Man on Willpower - This album is full of songs that are lyrically sad but simultaneously hilarious and musically a bop. And this is the first one! Did NOT get it at all on first listen but by the second I was locked tf in.
Tears - This was my Diva night 1 because of the music video but it’s plummeted it a little as I re-listen to the other songs…But still so good I love DiscoBrina. It’s still better to listen to with the accompanying visuals but what a bop.
Goodbye - Took me a second to get this but once i did?? Fucking love it. From the Title, I for sure thought this would be a slow song but I should have anticipated Sabrina surprising me. Adios!
Never Getting Laid- This song is truly the Don’t Smile of the album to me. The instrumentals make me feel like I should be on shrooms floating in a lake somewhere. So light disco.
We Almost Broke Up Again Last Night- Don’t think anything crazy about this being so low…I LOVE this song. I just like the others a bit more! This album is honestly so good it’s hard to rank. 9-12 flip for me everyday.
Such a Funny Way - THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON THE ALBUM. I PRAY this does not get the Needless to Say treatment and gets put on the deluxe edition…Gorgeous song, sounds like ABBA…like is that a Chiquita sample I hear??? The subject matter however is incredibly depressing… I need that man DEAD.
Don’t Worry I’ll Make You Worry- Beautiful girl. She’s only so low because the other girls are slightly more beautiful than she is. Also it throws me every time to go from this into House Tour. Sad to poppin pussy in like 2 seconds it’s jarring.
Sugar Talking - This is my least favorite song on the album by far and in my opinion the most forgettable? But I’m sure it’ll grow on me eventually….Sabrina always sneaks up on me like that

The Tears music released with the album at 12 am EST. And oh my GOD. It’s one of her best yet. While from the teasers most people thought it would be a horror inspired video, it actually turned out to be ROCKY Horror Picture Show inspired. Sabrina channeling major Susan Sarandon vibes. And?? It also featured Colman fucking Domingo in DRAG. Okay BUDGET.

The morning of the album release, Sabrina appeared on CBS Mornings with Gayle King. And y’all this interview…it’s bad. Let’s just call it what it is. Gayle asked AWFUL questions, so Sabrina didn’t/couldn’t give good answers. It has this weird misognyiscic undertone, you can tell that Gayle didn’t’ do her research and has no clue who Sabrina is, and Sabrina herself looks uncomfortable as hell.
Really upsetting because this is one of the only interviews Sabrina has done for this era, primarily due to her feeling uncomfortable doing them and look at that…a damn shame.
