Exactly one week ago today I proudly proclaimed in this letter that Manchild is a fluke and Sabrina is NOT releasing another album anytime soon…I believe my exact words were:
“So is Sabrina gearing up for a new era or what? Honestly? I highly doubt it. With the second leg of Short n’ Sweet starting this fall, there’s no way Sabrina is shifting focus away from Short n’ Sweet. But she is definitely testing out and experimenting with new music. On Sabrina’s Manchild 7’ vinyl, the B side teases a brand new song. And i’d say there’s a prettyyyy good chance of her releasing it before her next festival in July.”
Ohhhh girls she made me eat my words so fast. At around 11:30AM EST, Sabrina randomly went live on Instagram showing off a Vinyl cover of…what??? A new EP?? A new Album??
Well she didn’t make us guess for too long. At 12:03PM, Sabrina announced her new album “Man’s Best Friend” is coming out August 29, 2025.
Quite honestly? I’m floored. By this cover, by this announcement, by the sheer concept of starting a new era literally a year after. Sabrina explained a little more of her reasoning behind dropping another album so soon on her mailing list.
I for one, fully support her releasing new music at her own pace and when she feels most comfortable.
However…
The second I saw that cover I knew it was gonna start WEEKS worth of Twitter discourse. But I’m quite literally in love. Sabrina is such a smart artist with a clear vision; I understand the meaning of this album cover paired with that title, but I do wish she had released a stronger second single before the announcement, something we will probably be receiving in July before her Hyde Park festival.
The internet is dumb and I think this cover would have gone over a little better with a song with a stronger message than Manchild backing it. But then again…all press is good press!
Along with the announcement, the Sabrina store dropped the vinyl cover, a picture disc vinyl, CD, and cassette tape available for pre-order.

So it turns out Carpetville was in denial the whole time and we’ve actually never known anything about anything ever. It turns out Sabrina has been teasing Man’s Best Friend for a few weeks now.

But Sabrina & her team wasted NO time starting the promotion for Man’s Best Friend, with projections of album visuals popping up landmarks and buildings in Paris, São Paulo, Melbourne, and London. They got our girl projected across BIG BEN!! Okay!!!

And if you thought she was done you’d be mistaken! Rollingstone dropped their July/August 2025 summer issue with Sabrina on the cover. A LOT of Sabrina. When I tell y’all my jaw was on the floor…
The rest of the photoshoot portrays Sabrina in a bright fairytale Alice & Wonderland type setting. She’s mostly dressed in archived Victoria’s Secret lingerie and other vintage pieces, looking absolutely stunning as she frolics through the forest.
The think pieces hadn’t even died down before they started right back up again. Oh Sabrina the superstar you are. The actual article is a beautiful piece written by Angie Martoccio, digging deeper into Sabrina’s new era, her skyrocket to fame, the public’s perception of her, her expression of her own sexuality, and most importantly her personal feelings about it all. The article is insanely good and we’ll have to do an analysis in another upcoming issue.
